Would be beneficial to have the ability for Navix to search documents (BOL/Delivery Receipt) for the words claim, damage, shortage, etc and flag exceptions based on finding these key words. Many times the broker already knows of an issue and has flagged it in the TMS, and that might be passed to Navix as well. However there are also cases where the broker doesn't know in advance and the only way to find out is by seeing it indicated on the paperwork.
Hi @Guest we do read handwriting, but it's totally inconsistent. In our data, there's almost always an area on a BOL or delivery document where the receiver is supposed to write the delivered quantities, but the handwriting is almost never there.
We've spent a lot of time on this and there aren't any consistent patterns that we can build rules off of- people hand-write notes like "15 Delivered" or "4 damaged" and they do it in the middle of the page, or off in the corner. For the original request- we can't just look for those words because almost every BOL has those words on it somewhere, we have to specifically look for them but ONLY if they're handwritten.
I'll say the "Existing" isn't right, I'll change the status- we do read handwriting it's just nearly impossible to make sense of it right now. We're always trying new models to try and detect this better, it's something we revisit frequently.
I see the status on this says it already exists. We would love more information on what exactly is already existing as we have asked about this several times and been told Navix can't read handwriting.
